Mai Khao Beach is located on the northwest coast of Phuket and long of 11 kms, most part is still undeveloped. If you come here, you will noticed that the sand is a bit coarser than most of other southern beaches and there are only a few folks on it.
Mai Khao Beach is part of the sirinat national park; as a result the area is protected from over development. The only two significant developments on Mai Khao Beach are the JW Marriott Phuket Resort and the Phuket international Airport Hotel.
